Approach

Having lived and served in diverse communities from mega cities to rural locations, I have come to appreciate the many places we each come from and enjoy learning about many faiths and cultures. What I have learned and continue to be reminded of regularly is that all people are worthy of respect, of being heard and of living in hope. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a United Methodist (UM) Endorsed Chaplain in mental health/ordained elder, I have learned the importance standing beside people as they seek to change their lives. Often past coping tools no longer meet our current or future needs, which in turn impacts how we feel and interact. Using a variety of cognitive/behavioral modalities with other relevant techniques that use your existing strengths as a base we can explore new approaches to make positive changes to meet your desired goals for counseling.
