Welcome and Introduction
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over two decades of experience supporting individuals and groups through life’s most complex emotional challenges. My clinical journey includes supervising crisis line teams in Seattle and training health care professionals in New York.
I specialize in both individual and group therapy, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in ethical practice. I believe in meeting clients where they are, fostering a safe and structured environment where healing and growth can occur.
Whether you're navigating grief, anxiety, life transitions, or seeking deeper self-understanding, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy and skill. Together, we will identify meaningful goals and work at a pace that feels comfortable and sustainable for you. My approach integrates evidence-based interventions with personalized care, so that our work is always responsive to your needs and priorities.
Above all, my hope is that therapy becomes a source of encouragement, insight, and lasting positive change in your life. I am committed to supporting you every step of the way, as you move toward greater well-being, resilience, and fulfillment.
My Approach to Psychotherapy
- My therapeutic style is collaborative and goal-oriented, focusing on building a strong relationship with you and engaging you in identifying your own treatment goals.
- I use evidence-based feedback tools to track your progress and encourage open communication about what you want to achieve in therapy.
- Clear professional boundaries important to me and and I prioritize ethical care to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
- I typically work with patients on short-term, solution-focused goals but am flexible to support longer-term therapy when needed.
- I value transparency, limit personal self-disclosure, and regularly reflect on my practice to continually improve your therapy experience.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is central to my practice, equipping clients with effective tools to recognize unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier coping strategies. Together, we work toward meaningful goals and lasting change.
Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT)
I integrate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) into my work, using its practical skills to support emotional regulation, mindfulness, and healthier relationships. DBT’s blend of cognitive-behavioral and acceptance-based strategies helps clients manage intense emotions, build resilience, and find balance. My background in crisis intervention further informs my DBT practice, ensuring tailored support through both challenges and long-term growth.
Outcome Scales
Part our therapy is outcome based scales. Integrated into each therapy sessions are short rating scales that measure predictors of therapeutic success. Outcome rating scale (ORS) measures patients functioning and psychological wellbeing throughout the week. Client rating scale (SRS) measures therapeutic alliance, between patient and therapist.
Group psychotherapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is central to my approach, equipping clients with practical tools to change unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns. Together, we identify challenges, set goals, and develop effective coping strategies that foster lasting positive change.
Couples Therapy
While I’ve historically focused on individual and group work, I bring a deep curiosity and growing interest in couples therapy. I approach couples work with humility and a desire to understand each partner’s experience, helping them build communication, restore trust, and navigate conflict with empathy. I’m committed to ongoing training in this area and welcome couples who are ready to explore their relationship dynamics in a supportive space.
Child and Family Therapy
My background in child welfare and crisis intervention has given me a strong foundation in working with children and families. I understand the importance of developmental context, family systems, and trauma-informed care. Whether addressing behavioral concerns, family transitions, or emotional regulation, I work collaboratively with caregivers to support the child’s growth and the family’s resilience.
Teen Therapy
Adolescents face unique pressures and identity challenges. I create a space where teens feel seen, heard, and respected. My work with teens focuses on emotional regulation, self-esteem, anxiety, and navigating relationships. I also support parents in understanding and connecting with their teens, fostering healthier communication and mutual trust.
